The Wesvaal Chamber of Business is a non-profit organisation based in Klerksdorp in the North West Province. The main focus of the Chamber is to be the main voice of business, meaning that we represent businesses on Local Governmental, investment sourcing, mentorship and skills development issues. We believe that it is always best to speak as a group on local issues as opposed to operating as an individual. Our Chamber has been in existence since 1898 and has constantly reinvented itself to be relevant, add value and add a benefit to its members. We currently have more than 300 business members in Klerksdorp and surrounding areas. Our members range from all spheres of businesses such as Anglo Gold Ashanti, Overland Group to medium and smaller enterprises.

The Wesvaal Chamber is an affiliate of SACCI (South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and also has a representative at the SACCI national council. It therefore participates at economical debates through SACCI and constructively contributes to the growth of our economy. We currently have executive board members who are elected on a yearly basis at our Annual General Meeting. The executive board member positions are voluntary and require time and effort from the members.

As a representative of the Klerksdorp business community, we acknowledge the fact that it has become important for local businesses to be part of a Chamber now more than ever before. This is due to the ongoing Eskom issues, Local Governmental issues (where the voice of business should be heard at all times), importance of staff training, inviting of relevant opinion leaders etc. Our aim and objective is to be the voice of business and to maintain the trust and confidence that local business has of the Wesvaal Business Chamber.
